mainland marvels

sunday night blues:
iii hate sunday nights, cause i hate monday mornings. haha. so i just had the most wonderful weekend in vancouver evvvva.
on friday, carli and i bussed our way to the ferry, caught the 3 oclock ferry, and arrived in van at 430. and it was friggen dark by the time we got our luggage (TIP: as walk on passengers...CHECK YOUR LUGGAGE IN. its soo good), and were waiting for the bus!
ohmygosh. so then we got this bus to take to a stop, and it was SOOO FULL. but carli and i somehow managed to find seats, but we had to apologize like a bazillion timesss for our luggage being in the way. so then we got off at the transfer station, and had to board yet another bus to meet up with my mom. ohmygod. this bus .. it was a city bus.. but set up like greyhound style.. and carli and i had to stand in the aisle and i think i fell into her a few dozen times. and soon, we started to get advice from the sitting passengers about how to hold on for dear life.. and then a man held my suitcase so i could have better balance. (TIP: do not text and ride the bus at the same time, if you are STANDING)
so then we got lost, but someone my momma found us on the side of the road. so then we had visits with both sets of grandparents, and went to metrotown to send my phone away, and get me a loner phone.. its a chunk PDA. hahaha. old school.

the next day (saturday)... was the big shopping event. and it was raining. bleh. but oh well.. on we shopped. i managed to get 3 pairs of shoes, 5 tops, 2 sunglasses, 2 mac eyeshadows, and body shop holiday bronzer.. and some other odds and ends at london drugs... it was succcessful!
TIP: when its raining in vancouver, and you are shopping, use a very UNIQUE patterned umbrella, so that other people don't mistake it as theirs, and take it out of the store with them.
carli and my mom both lost their umbrellas yesterday

then we headed back to the hotel for happy hour in the lounge area, and i drank two glasses of red wine.. very fast.
hm hm.
so then we went back to the room to get ready to meet up with my moms friends for drinks, and i chugged a redbull.
then we went over to beneta (i think?!) met up with my mom's wonderful friends.. and we drank mojitos and lots of vodka...
then we all stumbled over to cobre for dinner and i think it was neuvo latino cuisine. yummers.
carli and i drank caesars while everyone else kept drinking mojitos (we started a trend!)

then after a very late dinner, we all got tired and went home to crash. there was no dancing, but it was super super super fun.
however, i need to stop wearing heels out.. i always get blisters. UGH.

so then this morning, we just got up, and my grandpa drove us to the ferry.. and then he drove my mom to the airport. but carli and i caught the 1 olcock ferry, but then had to take two more very crowded buses home, and it was a very long trip indeed.

LAST TIP: the guys that unpack your luggage at the ferry terminal are not gentle, so don't pack your mom's oatmeal cookies in your suitcase, cause its gonna get tossed and do a face plant right in front of you. : (
