touch material.

I think I've fallen in love with Vancouver even more. This weekend was fun. I went over on Thursday night. After a speedy car ride to the ferry, a delayed ferry, and a cousin pick-up, I had arrived. I was awoken bright and early Friday morning. My aunt and uncle were having new carpet put in, and the banging and drilling, and other noises were too loud for my dreams. So I woke up around 8 and pittered around on my computer for a bit. Then, it was off to Robson Street to do some serious Chrimstas shopping. I managed to get my brother's gift accomplished, and a bit of bargain shopping formyself. Friday night, I went over to my Popo's and Gung-Gung's house with Sammy D for dinner. They had my other uncle and cousins over as well.

Saturday, I slept in really late, and lazed around the house until two. Sam drove me back downtown because I still needed to find Dale's gift. I searched high and low in Holt Renfrew, and Pacific Centre. I was just about to give up, and starting walking back towards Robson...then I stumbled upon the perfect store and found the present I had been looking for! Success. Anyways, after that I wandered into Chapters (which hopefully will be my future place of employment). Sam picked me up, then I packed up, and then Keith (Alli's bf) picked me up, and we headed to my other Gramma's for dinner. Alli made a yummy roast and apple crisp for dessert. Alli, Keith, and I headed out to the ferry around 7:30, and I caught the last ferry at 9:00.

Today I unpacked and studied a bit. Now, Dale and I are off to Earls for dinner with Chels and Jord. Yummm!

"and so, the lion fell in love with the lamb" -edward.

My boy and I went to see Twilight tonight. We had our reservations about it, however, it's my new favorite movie. It was amazing and awesome, and full of LOVE and passion, and all good things. Plus, there were sparkles. I like those.

Today I finally worked out all the glitches in my timetable for next semester. Looks like I'll only be taking 3 classes, and only going to school 3 days a week (Wednesdays and Fridays off YEOW). I also had my last psych test. It went well I think, except I felt really rushed to finish on time. My first two questions were pretty well written (I hope), but the third one I had to write in under ten minutes, so that kind of sucked.

Tomorrow I have a gym date with Dale. Then a visit date with Alex. In the afternoon sometime, I'm off to Vancouver for a couple nights. Eeeeeps.

I wish for a bit of snow, and Christmas cheer.

let's talk.

Updates...
So I am in the last week of classes, and in fact I am finished on Wednesday after an in-class final. It's my Health Psych, and I'll be happy to be done it, because it has been a heavy course load!! After that, I don't have an exam until the 13th (math), and then the 18th (history).

On Thursday I am going to head out to Vancouver for a few days. I need a bit of time away from school and such. Plus, I have some christmas shopping to do! I also want to see some family before the busy-ness of Christmas arrives.

I head home on the 19th at 5:30 a.m. I'll be in Cranbrook until around the 23rd, and then we are heading to Vancouver for Christmas Day. We will probably come back to Cranbrook on the 28th or 29th. I am looking forward to having the whole family together for Christmas (we missed out last year). Also, I'm looking forward to having some time in Cranbrook with my besties. Dale will be in Hawaii, until New Year's Day....so that kind of sucks. But he'll be back in Cranbrook for a few days before we return to Victoria.

Last week I had a meeting with my advisor. Looks like I need to only take three classes next term. I am excited about this! I am hoping to really really boost my GPA, and get a job. I need a job: I need some extra cash really bad! I am not sure where I am going to work yet, but I want something low-key, and I will probably only work 10-15 hours a week. Also, back to the advisor, I need to get into a class, so I've had to do some begging with emails and phone calls...so fingers crossed that I get in!

Happy December 1st!

warm whispers

mhmmm.

whiiite liiight.

Bring on Christmas. I am starting to feel a bit of Christmas fever. Dale and I made plans to celebrate Christmas early since Dale will be in Hawaii, and I'll be in Vancouver. I think we're going to do a little Christmas cheer on the night of the 18th. I'm heading home on the 19th at 530 a.m. so I mise well just stay up ALL night.

So I have spent the last 2 days at the library. Hours and hours of hard work on my Sociology paper. It is basically done, except I need to add in a bit more info. I would like to find some more sources, but it seems that there is hardly any info on residential schools. Arg.

Anyways, I am hoping to finish it up tomorrow, and then have lots of time to journal and be creative for pysch! So I'll just be doing projects and papers for the next week and a half. Then study for my final in psych, and then classes are over!

can't waiiiit.

sounds like...

Mid-November and things are rolling. I have about two more weeks of a busy schedule. Today I had two midterms (Sociology went well, and math kicked me in the butt). Now, it's on to writing my lonnnnng Sociology paper on residential schools. However, I don't really mind because I find it extremely interesting. The past week and a half has been a busy one. I went home on the 7th for my reading break. It was a really good time to be home, and I mostly hung out with my family. I napped lots, worked on homework, and hung out with a few good friends. I came back to Victoria on Wednesday night with Chels. She stayed until yesterday. She was here for a nursing orientation of the school. So, on Friday night I joined the nurses for a pubcrawl. It was pretty fun, and we ended up at plan b which is always fun! Chels and I came home and made nachos. Yum. We spent some time looking at places for her, but sadly she didn't find any. We went downtown, and ate a few times, and it was super nice having a bestie around with me.

So for the next two weeks I have: two papers due, my psych journal, and my psych in class final. It doesn't sound all that daunting when I type it out, but wow, it's a lot of work!

I can't wait until this semester is over, and Christmas arrives. Holiday!

a little less conversation

This weekend was Halloween. It was really fun! However, it got off to rough start, when the fire alarm went off in our entire building. I was alone, and I may or may not have set it off. yikes. I was cooking some chicken wings, waiting for Lex and Jenn to come home. I took them out, shut off the oven, and all the sudden.... BEEP BEEP. At first my neighbors told me it was nothing and to go back inside.. but it was so loud! So finally, me and this older lady left and went to the front of the building. Two firetrucks showed up, and I waited outside til Lex came back. I was frantically calling people to tell them my building may be on fire. It wasn't. Thank God. I asked a fireman if it was my chicken wings, he said he hoped it wasn't.

Anyways, so then us three were back in the condo getting ready, and people started to come over. It was a good time. We all took the bus downtown to Plan b, and drank more, and danced more. It was fun. However, Alex got sick, Dale ended up in Metchosin, the rest of us couldn't get a taxi until 330...and it was freezing out! Dale got back to his place at 7 am. He walked/ran all the way from like half an hour out of town! Yikes. It was scary...glad he was okay.

Saturday I spent all my time doing homework, and napping. I headed off to Dale's around 730 pm, and we ended up going to see Saw V with Alex and Pat. It was just as gross as the previous 4, and Alex and I spent the whole movie with our eyes covered. haha.

Today I just did more homework. Dale and I went to the mall mid-afternoon, and I found some great steals. Number one being my cute top of $2.20!

This week is a busy one. I have a math assignment to finish, and a 15 page paper for Sociology to get started on. I go home Friday! I can't wait. It's going to be a good visit home.
