Hello, last week of school! I woke up this morning and was excited at this thought...and Christmas is on it's way :) I can't believe tomorrow is December 1st already?! My last week is not as stressful as I had anticipated. On the weekend, Tiff, Amy, and I got our Story Drama done, and have our unit plan for LA just about finished ... we are having a group edit process today before class, and then we can print stuff tonight and hand it in tomorrow. So, for the rest of the week: on Wednesday, finishing up my PE video by doing the audio ... and then Friday: exam for drama, and performing our live radio show for our LA class.

Can't wait for Friday afternoon to arrive, and head off to Vancouver avec mon frere!

Last night, Dale and I saw Blind Side ... I enjoyed everyone second of it. It was absolutely amazing, and definitely my new favorite movie. Yesterday, just opened at closed at worky, and Saturday had a lazy day writing up lesson plans, and then hit up the gym in the evening, and dinner with Chels, Jord, & Dale.

Just watching Sex & the City now ... and super excited to hear more about the second movie!

The week is ending. One more week of school, tomorrow :) I've had a good week. Just a busy bee with school, homework, the gym, and trying to find some downtime for myself. I had a presentation today for my Media Literacy lesson, and I think it went well. I am just glad to have another thing to check off as complete! Oh! And my No, David! Sign language lesson plan was a success. I was super proud of myself about that! I worked really hard on that lesson, and so I'm glad it paid off. Gosh. I am getting more and more excited for school to be over, and so looking forward to going home for Christmas. I feel like I haven't been home in so long ... it will have been nearly six months! Jeeze. Anyways, I am going to go cook up some supper now! Hope you all are enjoying your evenings. I am warming up by the fire.

Oh, and I am in love with Taylor Lautner (like that's a huge surprise, or anything).

can we just say the rest with no sound?

Again...another whirlwind of a weekend. Yesterday was wonderful and lazy. Dale and I slept pretty late, and had a slow morning. I hit up the gym (yay, new cardio!!), and then we got Subway for lunch and watched Family Guy. Headed to Safeway next, and Dale helped me pick out some floor polish for my floor, so I went home and vacuumed, swiffered, and then mopped my floors with the polish. Then, had a shower, made a quick dinner, and Chels came over. We did some laundry, and watched My Sister's Keeper (my second time). Today: worked open til close, and then tonight Amy and Tiff came over for a bit, and we worked on finishing up our website, and started our eBinder (collections and collections of worksheets, lesson plans, resources, templates for sticking on a usb to take to schools for teaching...it's all done on word).

Tomorrow: meeting for a group project in the a.m., and then computer class at 1:00. Hoping to hit up the gym after class.

New Moon was wonderful, and I want to see it again. For those of you who are not twi-hards: get on that. Read the books, and see the movies. I guarantee it'll be worth it. LOVE. So, the wait outside wasn't too bad last night, and they let us in around 9:00, so James, Carli, and I just hung out and caught up. It was a good time. Today I was at the school from about 8:30-4:30. Another long day! But, getting things under control for the end of semester. TWO WEEKS: and actually only 8 days of classes :) I cannot wait.

What are you all up to this weekend? I'm at Dale's, and we had ichiban for dinner and watched the office and say yes to the dress. Now, he is out playing hockey, and I'm catching up on my Thursday night t.v. shows. Tomorrow: the gym, and some relaxing time! I don't have to work and it turns out I don't have too much homework this weekend until Sunday night.

Just spent a boatload on groceries, but now am home (oh my gosh, that wind!), and my cupboards are full, and I'm eating my first mandarin (christmas) orange of the season: yum. Went to see Romeo & Juliet last night. It was a fun experience: and I was sort of able to follow along...it was a bit modernized, but still very shakespearean. Anyways, it ended super late (11:07 p.m. so just over 3 hours in length), and I went home to bed. Chels made me an energy bar (like hot shots), and it was delish :) I'm going to have to make some of my own!

I didn't have school today: I woke up, rode my bike to the gym for the rebounder class, and then biked home. I've been working on homework since. I had to finish up my PE analysis assignment ...and that took a long time to format, and it's still not nearly done! Then, I skyped my mom, and she gave me a great idea for my LA lesson plan quiz. We had to draw a book yesterday, and then make up a lesson for it, and hand it in Friday. Since my idea is a bit complicated, and takes a lot of prep, it is going to take me awhile to get it finished. I am thinking I'll hit up the school early tomorrow to work on the list of signs the teacher will need (oh, did I mention I am making a lesson plan with sign language involved! Eeps). I think I am maybe taking on too much work for the time frame! Bah, we'll see how it goes tomorrow morning.

bad romance

Bad Romance-Lady Gaga ... new fav song. It's 10:00, and I've got some homework to do. Two chapters to read for drama tomorrow, and I need to practice for my LA lesson presentation tomorrow a.m. Tonight is the meteor shower. I am hoping that I can stay awake long enough to see it, or that the clouds will clear away so that it is visible (it's been raining all day)! I finally have a flat iron again. My hairdresser got me a new one (my old one broke, and I lost a piece for it...whoops)...so about a month later, here I am with a brand new, shiny, straightener! I am excited to use it tomorrow. Today: got most of our website done (thanks blogger.com for the second time in a row). I need to get some rain boots; my socks were soaked by the time I got to campus today (leather boots do not work for rain protection). So, I'm going to have to save for some of those (I want a red or yellow pair...but aldo only has some crazy colours).

Rain = no gym :( Can't ride my bike in the pouring rain, and don't wanna wait around for 2 buses. So, I was up early...but may head up to the school to work on some school stuff, or just have a lazy morning. Just had some scrambled eggs for breakfast, and thinking about some chai tea next. 3 last weeks of craziness (school). I have so many projects on the go, but I am counting down the days as they get nearer.

Working today (12:00-6:15). Then, home to work on the website with Amy and Tiff. Last night worked on homework for a couple hours, and then Chels came over and we just sipped tea and hung out. Three more weeks of school, and I am stressed! So much to accomplish! But, one day and one assignment at a time. Soon enough, Christmas holidays.

I'm feeling like Baan Thai tonight for sups. My fireplace is always on (it's getting so chilly here). Oh! 30% off at the Gap until tomorrow. I want some new clothes, and today is pay day :)

defying gravity

New fav song from glee...but actually from Wicked: defying gravity. I'm in love with it, and am trying to practice it to hit those high notes. I'd like to think I can carry a tune, but I actually want to give myself something to work on. So...defying gravity it is. Also watched the youtube clip from Wicked, and decided Wicked must be my next Broadway show I see. I had wanted to see it so badly in New York..but I got to two see other great ones (The Lion King and Hair Spray, not to mention The Phantom of the Opera in Vegas). But, I'll put it on the list of things to do.

Anyways, spent a full day at work today (1:30 til 9:30). So, I am pretty tired tonight! I made it to the gym this morning for Chi Ball...and it was a super work out. Bah. My eating habits have not been so hot this week on the break...definitely been slacking...so back to work on that tomorrow!

So, I was supposed to teach an language arts lesson tomorrow am, but it has not been postponed until Tuesday. I wanted to get it over with, but I didn't feel totally prepared...so I guess it's good. Also, tomorrow, Drama Preliminary Lesson Plan due...that's all ready to go! This weekend will be busy...lots more working, and trying to get my PE assignment done, plus the website for computer class. Saturday night, Amy, Tiff, and I are having a huge hang out sesh to work on the website/slumber party haha.

Oh! and next week, Chels and I are hoping to get tickets for Romeo & Juliet up on campus :)

Mhmm..roasted red pepper and black bean soup for dinner. Jumped off the bus a stop early to go to Safeway and get some groceries. I also picked up a new mug ($2.99), and a gold serving/decorative plate ($2.19). At work I also had a bit of a spending spree: dark grey knitted scarf, creamy beanie hat, necklace (that I've wanted since summer!!), and black tights. Retail Therapy.

A bit worried today...found the mole on my ear looking about two times larger than it normally is. Plus, it looked black..not it's normal nice brown..but black. I'm the kind of girl who will avoid the doctor. But this is pretty scary! Maybe going to wait for my mommy to be here in 3 weeks to get it checked out. But ah! stupid moles. And, I really hope I don't have to get it removed, because I liked the (small) mole on my ear. But I swear it's huge now. fuck my life.

So tonight...ANTM, glee, and The City. Finished my PE ePort today, and started reading chapter 7 for Seminar. Going to finish the chapter tomorrow, hit up the gym, and work. Can't believe tomorrow is the last day of reading break. booo.

I need a new book to read. Suggestions? I'm into love stories (always)...

Good Morning, loves. I woke up to sunshine: this feels amazing! I think it has been raining for far too many days. Just watching sex & the city, and eating some squirrely toast. I work at 1:00. When I finish my t.v. show I need to finish up my PE ePortfolio entry. I have hardly got any work done on the break. I need to fix that. Tomorrow I am hoping that more sunshine comes my way so that I can go to Chi Ball. The gym has been making some big changes, and now is a V.I. fitness. So, that means that I can go to ANY V.I. fitness....and there is one that is very near me in Oak Bay. So, that'll be a good solution for those rainy/lazy days. Except, my heart really belongs to Planet Fitness. You know once you find your gym, you just can't go to another? I had the hardest time adjusting last year after being a World's Gym Member for about 4 or 5 years.

Anyways, enjoy that sunshine!

reading break

I am having the most lazy day: it is wonderful. I am still in my p.j.s at 5:17 p.m., and not planning on getting out of them. I slept til 11:30 today after a night out on the town with Chels. We went out for 90's night at Lucky. It was so much fun! We had to wait in lineee for about an hour and a half (not fun), and I had to pee so bad (not fun), but once we got in, we had 3 shots of tequila each, and were raring to go. We only got about an hour dancing time, but it was great :D We cabbed home, and scarfed down some popcorn while drunk checking our facebooks.

I've spent the day working on homework (and catching up on t.v. shows). I've had the fire place on all day...nice and cozy. Tomorrow I work at 1:00, so I'm going to wake up early to work on more homework before, and then go in to buy a couple things. We got the cutest, coziest scarf in yesterday, and I just have to have it.

So, the rest of my two days off will include working and homeworking. Back to school for one day, and then hello, weekend :)

Sitting here diddling around on the computer. Did massive loads of laundry tonight with Chels and had yam sushi. So good (every time). Worked today...went okay. Met two of the new gals working at our store. Saturdays are always busy days, so the shift went by pretty quickly. I am working all day tmrw (open to close), and then probably come home to do some homework and watch bro&sis! I can't believe it's Sunday already tomorrow? How do weekends go by so quickly? Anyways, I have Tuesday off, so Chels and I are going to go out to 90's night on Monday! Looking forward to that. fiiiiinally bought myself an ankle weight tonight. Chels and I made a late night stop to Wal-Mart and picked up a few things! I only open tmrw, and the rest of the days I am working closing shifts....so I can hit up the gym a lot of I hope!

I'm sleepy, but decided to write a quick post. Hello, Reading Break. I am glad you are here! Tomorrow I am hoping to sleep in (my brain keeps waking me up at 7:00 am every morning!), gym it, and then have a lazy day until 3:00pm rolls around, and I head into work for a few hours. Other than that, tomorrow night I may have some plans for sushi and laundry avec my best: Chels. I am in the midst of a cold: lots of sneezing and sniffling today, but my head feels better :) hopefully it is only a cold, and not the dreaded swine. I am against the shots, so I'll have to tough it out if h1n1 comes knocking at my door. During the reading break I am going to be working, and I plan to get 2 ePortfolio entries completed and up on the website, readings for Seminar done, and a start on my teaching behavior assignment. Other than that, I have to dust off my lesson plans for the 13th due date, and a possible homework sesh on Thursday for the website! Less than a month of school til break :D

Tomorrow afternoon starts reading break. Much needed. I am starting to get sick. My throat is sore, I've got the sniffles, and my head just doesn't feel right! I am hoping it's just a cold, and not h1n1. I've had a busy week so far! Lots of teaching stuff, working on group projects, and catching up on homework! Gosh, I've done so much homework this week! Tomorrow I'm teaching a grade 3 PE lesson, and then LA and Drama on either side of teaching. I am working Saturday through Wednesday, so 5 days of work here I come! Plus, time and a half on Monday. I decided not to go to Vancouver. When I started to get sick/homework was piling up, I just decided that staying on island would be best for me. After my school visit today, I bought a cute bag from Aldo...retail therapy for not going to Vancouver/being sick/treat for a busy week. Less than a month of school left. Wow. I've got a busy month ahead of me: but I am definitely looking forward to a few things that keep me going!

I've had such a busy weekend, and such a busy week ahead! I hope you all had fun, safe, halloweens! Friday night I went out on a pubcrawl. Katie and Amy came over to get ready, and we thought we had loads of time, but as usual we were rushed to get ready/pre-drink. So here we are, with our 'new friend' (aka 7-up 2 litre bottle of magic juice) at the bus stop, still drinking while waiting for the bus (and it was late. and it was raining!). After that, the night gets a little fuzzy..but I remember pizza, felicita's, the first bus ride, and V lounge. Since we'd been drinking since so early, I started to feel not so chipper, and after an hour at social club, Amy and I left (we lost our little Katie friend on the way, but she was safe & sound at home!). Good thing i went home early, I got woken up super early yesterday for worky stuff. I ended up working all day yesterday, and all day today. Yesterday night, Chels and I just hung out for a bit (no pumpkin carving for us...but I still wanna bake pumpkin seeds!). Grateful for the extra hour of sleep last night, I went to bed early, and woke up really early! Did some cleaning before work...and had a lazy morning. Work was super boring today....so slow on Sundays!! Back to school tomorrow... I am super busy this week! Lots of teaching, and child observing :D
