hearts beat and break

life is beautiful
we love until we die.

when you run into my arms,
we steal a perfect moment

life is beautiful, but it is complicated
we barely make it.

we don't need to understand,
there are miracles.

yeah, life is beautiful
our hearts they break and beat.

it's amazing where i'm standing
there's a lot that we can give.
this is ours for just a moment,
there's a lot that we can give.

when you run into my arms, we steal a perfect moment.

Here I am, awake, and can't sleep at 4:00. The sun is going to come up soon. I guess I am just far too excited to sleep! I am going homeeee in 11 hours :)

Anyways, yesterday I just finished up my 7 days of working in a row, and came home to have leftovers for dinner and watch CNTM. Then I packed up a little bit for home, and started to pack up picture frames and books into my bins. I can't believe that this year is already up, and I am moving again. Hopefully this will be the last move for a bit! Moving is a lot of work and energy. But, I am getting super stoked. My Dad is going to be here next Monday to start moving and painting and fixing up! Eeeeeeeps :D

Anyways, tomorrow I have a lot of traveling: well, I decided to take the bus downtown and then the 70 Express out to McTavish Road. Then, I am going to have to walk from the highway to the airport (I asked a girl, and she said it took maybe 15-20 minutes if I was booking it haha). So, that means I am going to have to leave around 12:15 to catch all my rides on time. greeeeeeat. Tomorrow morning I plan to hit up Interval Bounce, and then quickly come home and shower and hit the road. So, that means waking up around 8:00 to do some more packing. looooovely.
So this all really sucks because I cannot sleep right now! jeeze.

Anyways, I am more than stoked to get home and catch up with family and friends. This weekend is going to be a busy one, but I am super proud of my brother, and super excited for him to be here this sumsum.

Okay, well hopefully Gilmore Girls will lull me to sleep.
Hopefully that heat comes back for you, kittens.

into the wild...

So I wrote a huge rant blog last night, but decided against posting it because I am trying to stick to the classy side of things. This week has been full of ups and downs, and all arounds. But...good things have come (or at least started to look up). There is still the odd issue that needs dealing with, but people don't change, so it's no use saying anything anyways.

Anyways, I'm charmed, thank you.

Work work work. Today was my fifth day in a row, and I've got two more to go! I think today was the first Sunday I've worked where I have actually hit the store budget (and we went beyond it today, too!). But, other than that, it was fairly slow except for the occasional bump with a rush of people. Tomorrow and Tuesday I work 1-730...and then I am homeward bound! TWO MORE DAYS!

I picked up some new accessories to go with my dress, but I still need (want) some sort of jacket to go over top, because I have this nagging feeling that it's not going to be all that warm! bah.

Now, I am just warming myself up with some tea, and catching up on a little facebook stuff.

Enjoy the evening, cats.

day 2.5

Things can only go up from here.

I'm sitting here sipping on some lemon water, listening to lykke li, and satisfying my chocolate craving with a handful of chocolate covered jubes. I had the day off today: I hit up downtown pretty early and got a few errands out of the way. Then back home to the market to use the post office to send off a package and a card. The rest of the afternoon was filled with naps, talks, and t.v. watching. I had some dinner, and then walked to Safeway to grab a few groceries before Canada's Next Top Model.

Another early night for bed, and the gym in the morning, then work for tomorrow's afternoon.

day 02.

"And then suddenly, I impulsively un-plan our entire future in one foul swoop. Well, I couldn't face disappointing you again, I couldn't face telling you I spoiled the plan..."

Ah. My life and it's complications.

"but her family's fully puffed."

What a gorgeous day it was out today! I spent most of my afternoon laying out on the deck and sunning my face. Other than that, I really did nothing on my day off. I spent some time cooking some tofu flavored with peanut satay, and watching Gilmore Girls. I visited with Chels a bit in the early evening, and then walked over to Thrifty's for some grapes, an orange pepper, and some yogurt. For dinner I had a meal consisting of the red grapes, lemon meringue yogurt, and some tator tots. UGH! haha.

This week: I work tomorrow, then have Tuesday off. Then I am working Wednesday until Saturday, and quite possible Sunday, Monday, Tuesday before I head home. 7 Days in a row! This week we are having some company (Alexa's family) for grad ceremonies. I am getting beyond thrilled as the countdown for my brother's grad ceremonies come closer. I am also stoked on having him move down here with me for the summer. It's going to be excellent!

I really need to start organizing some things and packing up some things, because I am moving soon! I just don't have a vehicle to cart some of the pre-packed things down to Fort & Foul Bay. Many bus trips?

--enjoy the warm evening, kittens.

revolutionary road.

Work, work, work. Tomorrow is my third day opening in a row. I like opening! Except for the slow part. I have been lucky though in the past two days for some busy-ness and cruise ships that have kept me from being too bored. Today I also got a visit from Chels! I ended up getting Sunday off (I thought I'd be opening that day too)...so I hope to hit up the beach.

I am getting more and more excited to get home. It's what I have been looking forward to for ages! And it is now less than two weeks away. As soon as I return to Victoria, I'll be busy moving out of the Richmond Gate, and right into renovations of the new place. I can't WAIT to make it mine! It's such a clean slate right now, it needs some colour!

Anyways, I just finished watching Revolutionary Road, and now I am off to sleep.

sleep well, kittens.

one.

love's the i guess most only verb that lives
(her tense beginning, and her mood unend)
from brightly which arise all adjectives
and all into whom darkly nouns descend

where everyone is in love, and flowers pick themselves.

I love you
For your little, startled,thoughtless ways,
For your ponderings, like soft dark birds,
And when you speak 'tis a sudden sunlight.

I love you
For your wide child eyes, and fluttering hands,
For the little divinities your wrists,
And the beautiful mysteries your fingers.

summer slice.

I burned my legs a bit today. I was being a beach bum, and obviously didn't realize how warm that sun was....it's not a bad burn, but it's noticeable. I also just had a t-shirt and shorts on, and now have a noticeable short line tan as well. But, it was well worth it! I also hit up the gym this morning for Interval Bounce (on the mini trampolines...my fav class!). Other than that, I did some tidying, and sign practicing. I had some delicious yam sushi for dinns, and now have spent my evening watching Gilmore Girls. Tomorrow I open the store, but I am just working 945-2. I work the rest of the weekend as well, opening everyday up to (and including) Sunday. I am actually pleased with doing some earlier shifts. Opening is pretty easy, and sort of less stressful (or maybe not?) than closing. Also, when you open you get to work alone for a bit .... but it's usually slow so that doesn't help with budget.

Other than that, I get paid Friday and may need to dive into a bit of that money for basic living (since I spent some of my allowance in Vancouver?), and for a couple things for home time. Two weeks tonight and I'm home! I am getting so excited! Heck, I've been excited since April! haha.

The Gilmores are calling me once again,

Jun 9, 2009

let's stay outside awhile; look for the big dipper.

Dale & Taylor: August 2007 (last time at the lake before moving away for school)....laying on the dock, covered in a blanket of stars, watching (at least) eight shooting stars fly by.
We had grown accustomed to always having stars as a part of our relationship .... first night of dating: we drove up and out of our little city to star gaze, countless nights staring at the stars from the sunroof of Dale's car, laying out on the dock (getting spooked by the noises around us) and counting who could spot the most stars shooting, Taylor taking an astronomy class ... just for the romance of the stars, and then Dale giving Taylor her very own star on their one year. The universe and all that surrounds us (stars being our favorite) are uh-mazing.

summer days & braids.

Back from my 1 hour and 45 minute shift... even though it was short... it still felt long haha. I hit the gym this morning for super sculpt, and I sure got my butt kicked. The instructor is marvelous at what she does, and she really works you hard. Then, home for a quick shower and some cucumber with cracked pepper and salt on top, cheese and crackers, and a little strawb yogurt, and then off to the new condo. I had to get the faucet fixed, and even though the plumber and realtor said all was good...I still have a sneaking suspicion that it's not going to stay all good. Then off to campus from there, picked up two calendars (one for myself, and one for Carli), then headed back downtown. I spent a good two hours by the fountain in the sun before my shift; I might have even fallen asleep sitting up.

Tonight is a low key night at home with some dinns, the bachelorette, and hopefully a phone call with my best, and if there is time: some more sign practice.

Have a sunny evening.

Jun 7, 2009

i'm sorry; a crazy, evil spirit obsessed with bra size took over my body.

I am back on the island. I took off to the mainland for a day and a half for some shopping and Alli time. I ventured downtown around 7:30 am, to catch another bus to get me to the 9:00 am ferry. It was an unpleasant day for weather yesterday...I was not happy about this. But Alli and I still made the most of the Robson street and Pacific centre experience. I managed to get a great dress and a cute pair of shorts. I had wanted to get 3 dresses ... but all the costs... so things didn't work out. I also wanted a cute, short(er) jean jacket, and a blazer (I've had my eye on one from Zara for the longest time...I just can't afford it at the moment!). Anyways, we also hit up Metrotown where Alli found some good deals. Then back to the house for a pre-dinner cocktail, and then we headed out for some Greek food. It was delish. Again, back to the house for some more drinks and talks. Today we had a late morning (I actually slept til 10:30 ... I never sleep that late!!), and then off to IKEA for a bit (to check out the decor and some bathroom things), and then out to the ferry. I wanted to catch the 3:00 ferry, but they made me wait to take the 4:00....LAME! But, I managed to get some more sun. The buses back on the island were ridic and took their sweet time getting me home. I finally got home around 7:30 and cooked myself up a huge stir fry complete with red and green peppers, spinach, asparagus, tofu, and chicken. YUM! stir fry heaven.

Now, I am sipping some white tea, painting my nails, and about to practice some signs. Tomorrow is Super Sculpt, a trip up to the campus, and work at 4:30.

night, peaches.

Jun 5, 2009

i haven't left this house since 1951.

Vancouver bound tomorrow. Can't wait to spend some time with my lovely cousin, Alli. We are going to hit up downtown for some shopping on Robson and H&M. I have to get up pretty early to pack an overnight bag and catch two buses to the ferry terminal. Then I am hoping to get the 9:00 am ferry--so we can get our shop on by noon.

Today I hit up the beach with Sierra for a couple hours. It wasn't as warm as yesterday, but still great all the same. I am really enjoying the summer so far! Then I worked tonight...it went pretty well...we were pretty steady, except for one bump with the till being 5 bucks over. That always sets me off...it's so much easier when the tills all work out even and balanced!

Anyways, besides that, nothing new to report here.
Enjoy the sunny weekend, loves.

Jun 4, 2009

nothing beats the heat.

Just finished my novel, 3 Willows, while laying outside in the gorgeous heat for a couple hours. I came back cranked on the fan, made a pitcher of lemonade, and am now deciding what to wear for work (I work at 5 today and tomorrow). This weekend I have Saturday and Sunday off, and I don't work until 4:30 on Monday. I might pop over to Vancouver to do some shopping for the end of June festivities. I was hoping to wait until the week of the 14th, however, it's the weekend, and two days off in a row is rare, so I kinda wanna just take the opportunity. We'll see. Anyways, work yesterday was quite long (1-930), and I had a battle with a massive headache from about 7 pm on...I had no tylenol at work so I had to finish up my shift with the feeling like someone was pinching the back of my brain. I got onto the bus right away and started to feel a wee bit nauseous and felt sorry for the other bussers that had to listen to me gag a bit haha. Anyways I popped 4 extra strengths when I got home around 9:45, but the headache didn't go away for about 2 hours. I curled up in a ball on the futon until I crawled into bed to read. I hate headaches.

I've hit up the gym three days in a row now, and it feels good to be going regularly! I am hoping that there is going to be another great gym around the new place with classes :)

2 weeks and 6 days until I am home (and grad festivities start happening..YAY James!), and about 3 and a half weeks til moving time! EEps I am excited to get that new place all spiffffy looking!

willows bend.

I have quite the amazing weekend with Dale. He arrived on Thursday afternoon, but I had to work until 5. I finished up, and then we headed over to Irish times for some yummies and drinks. We enjoyed the evening sun, and then rode a kabuki kab back to the car. I arrived back to his place to find a bubble bath complete with my favorite magazines, movies, chocolates, and some scratch & wins, ohhh and red roses. It was a completely sweet and romantic gesture. I had Friday and Saturday off, so we really packed those two days full of activities. Friday: we drove out towards Cordova Bay and had lunch by the ocean! It was so warm out, and we soaked up the sun while chopping on veggie burgers. Then we headed downtown to do some shopping, and walked along the wharfside. More shopping and looking around Lower Johnson, and then out to see Angels and Demons with Chels and Jord. It was really goood! We hadn't seen The DaVinci Code, but it didn't really have anything to do with it besides religion and Tom Hanks. Anyways, on Saturday Dale and I went mini golfing and rented scooters for an entire afternoon. It was so much fun, we went riding all around Victoria's ocean coastline! Sunday I had to work, but Dale went out to Duncan to go golfing, and then we met up afterwards to go drink pitchers of mojitos and have dinns at Milestones. It was the perfect weekend. I am so glad that Dale came out for a visit: I think we both needed it!
mojiiiitos are soo yummy.
