everybody heals with love.

On the home stretch! I believe I have 3 days left of school (but spread out because of Wednesday's off, and Easter weekend)...but basically...I am coming home in a week and a day! WOW. Time has flown (I probably say that a lot, but it's just so hard to believe). Finished up a major group project today, so that is a load off my shoulders...all that is left: Psych take home test to complete, put together my Resource Binder for Art, group video analysis presentation next Tuesday, and in class exam for History next Thursday. Four.More.Things.To.Go!

Tomorrow: I am going to sleep in a bit, work on psych and/or resource binder, and then head downtown for my hair cut (trim) at Aveda. Afterwards I might do some shopping around for a practicum wardrobe. Then it's home again, home again jiggity-jig, and I believe that Dale and I are going to cook a roast for supps.

love to you all,
xx

i smile my brains out for you.

Hello Kittens,
Hope you are enjoying your weekends! I have had a rather relaxing weekend, but then again, it has gone by far too quickly! Friday--I ended up skipping my last class, so I was done at 12...but I had two naps throughout the afternoon and caught up on Thursday night shows. I worked a bit on my third art lesson plan in the evening, and hit up the gym. Then I cooked Dale and I dinner, and afterwards, headed to Carli's new place! I got to meet Zoey, and she is absolutely adorable and so lovable! And their new place looks great. Yesterday, I worked at 2:00, so didn't do a whole lot before then except for some cleaning. Work went by super quickly (it was pretty busy!), and then I headed back to Dale's. We had ouuuuuuur gang over for appies and drinks during the fights. It was fun! And, we even participated in Earth Hour with three little candles.

Today: slept in late, and now am finishing up my Art homework! It has gone quicker than I had anticipated, so I am going to hopefully hit up the gym laters. And "The Pacific" is on tonight!

xx

maybe i think you're cute and funny.

I used to have a livejournal account: wafflesnotjesus? Anyone recall this? Anyways, just going through some of the old posts, and I thought I'd put some favs up on this blog! Enjoy my old words, pictures, and quotes.

what i want, is to be needed.
what i need is to be indispensable to somebody.
who i need is somebody who will eat up all my free time, my ego, my attention.
somebody addicted to me.
a mutual addiction

when was it that we fell in love?
was it when we were 18? 16?
maybe 10.

i don't know, because the truth is, i can't picture a time when i wasn't in love with you.

and she remembered the goodbyes even more

i believe in you. i believe in the way that you are and the way you will be. i believe in the things that you say - you mean the world to me.and if you should go, if you should turn around one day, if you should doubt your dreams in any way, don't think about it. don't worry too long about whether you'll find a place for yourself in the world - you belong. i know that you'll get where you're going someday. For no matter what happens, you will find a way. i believe in the way you will be. you are a shining star in this world... and you mean the world to me.

you talk too much. maybe that's your way of breaking up the silence that fills you up.
you have too much. you're spending all your time collecting and discovering.
it's not enough.

thinking about thinking of you
summertime, i think it was june.
yeah, think it was june.

laying back, head on the grass.
having some laughs
yeah, having some laughs.

-----------------------------------

how's my luck?
but somehow, i'm with you
let's leave now
let's leave them
and their point of view

[my favorite place is me and you]

i wake up in the darkest night
watch you breathe in shadow light
a perfect world lies next to me
and i don't need to sleep to dream

[but this is space they cannot touch]

-----------------------------------------

hello hello hello
[i'm glad i've found you]
been away a long long time
the sun will rise
and the sun will set tomorrow
[and it's been rough on this old heart]

you are the only reason i have found
i waited for you yesterday
to come back and say you'll always stay.

my new glasses!

going green.

My gosh...there aren't many days/weeks left of school til practicum! I am pretty gosh darn nervous! I keep pushing it out of my head because I am so busy with the heavy school load at this time. However, I finally contacted my school today via email (still on spring break), to get a hold of my mentor teacher. I am hoping I hear back soon!

Spent the entire day doing homework: up at 8 (on my day off!) to work on the PE yearly plan, then off to meet Katie to do some music unit stuff, then back for lunchers, then worked on music again...went for a stroll to collect some nature for my art printing process! I caught up on some t.v. shows as a practiced my leaf/flower/twig/rock printing. It was pretty fun! And I just finished up my 'moving' print piece now!

These evening I worked on collecting some information for my History term paper. It only has to be 5 pages double spaced, but I'm having the hardest time finding research on Kootenay Orchards (my elementary school...we could pick any school, and of course I chose the most recent one..bah!). I am going to have to clarify with my prof tomorrow and see if this is do-able...because we are supposed to compare and contrast the evolution of the school...and seeing how the school is only about 15 years old, there isn't a ton of research...yet!

Tomorrow... just one class, and then hoping to have a successful day of research/gym/thursday night shows. Completely thought today was Thursday, and was looking forward to those shows!

Didn't do anything for St. Patty's day, besides having had my nails painted a pretty jade colour for the past month...it's never really been a big deal to me, so i just celebrated by having green beans and zucchini for dinner (plus tofu and rice).

I need a pedicure (and I want a manicure, too!)
Anyone wanna come with?

love's embrace.

weekend sunshine

I am so stoked it's the weekend, and a bonus: I don't work this Sunday (I'll be working next Saturday as my work for this week's schedule). Yesterday, I got off school at 12:00, came to Dale's and had Subway. Then, we hit up the gym, and I got to workout while visiting with Chels! Dale and I went off to the movies for the 3:50 showing of Green Zone. It was a pretty great movie except for the fact that I started to get a little dizzy from all the motion of the camera! I grabbed some leftovers from my condo after, and Dale and I ate and watched Thursday's episode of the Office. Dale played hockey last night so I worked on some art homework and watched HGTV shows.

Today, I slept til 11:10 (woooo nearly 12 hours of sleep), and am now getting ready to meet Katie downstairs to work on our music unit. I've got a busy two weeks coming up! Yiiikes. Also, less than 4 weeks til I'm back in Cranbrook and prepping for my first practicum. Nervous, yet excited! Which reminds me, I've got to get in contact with my mentor teacher...asap!

The sun is shining which makes everything look a bit better. Can't wait for beaches and summer and making money and hanging out with besties.

Happy Saturday!

i want a getaway.

beach. with my babe. blissful.

in the mood for romance.

It's been a bit since I've done a written blog! My parents have been here since Monday and it's been so nice having them around! This week's been a busy week, but it went by quickly! Amy, Tiff, and I had our recorder playing test on Tuesday, and I think it went really, really well. Our prof seemed pretty pleased...so hopefully the grade proves that. Other than that, just been working on the music unit plan, andddd the PE yearly plan. Oh! and for once, I got my art projects done before the weekend. Minus one of my pages: I need to find some maps...some free ones! For the weekend I've got homework on the brain, catching up on gym time, spending time with my guy, and some movie watchiiiing! 4 more weeks of school, and then off to Cranbrook for my 3 week practicum. I am placed at KCA with the K/1 class. Super stoked on that :)

Hope all is well,
xx

I wanna go see this movie, again!

ship shape, tip top.

Hello, March....February, where did you go? February went by much too quickly. I am happy to have March arriving though, because it brings warmer weather, and only one more month left of the semester! I've had a busy couple weeks since reading break ended. My group finished up our creative dance unit, and the final performance is this Friday! We are going in tomorrow morning to just run over the dance, and practice with the full song. I've had two midterms last week, and the History one went okay, but the Music one...bah. I won't even go there. I will have them both back by Friday afternoon. Fingers crossed that I am still keeping my B- average. It was pretty easy to get really good grades last term, but this time around, things are a lot harder. I am still aiming for high B's though (A's seem to be a long shot for this semester). My mommy and faja are coming to visit in about 5 days! I am excited to see them!

Have a good night, lovelies.
